What do I enter for the prior year AGI if I am a first-time filer or didn't file a return last year?

If you're a first-time filer or you didn't file a return last year, the IRS expects you to enter "0" (zero) for your Prior Year AGI amount. This is what the IRS expects even if you had income in 2024.

If you tell us you didn't file a return last year, we'll automatically include zero as your Prior Year AGI.

If you started a 2024 tax return but it was never accepted or mailed in, the IRS still expects you to enter "0" (zero).

Where do I enter my prior year adjusted gross income (AGI)?
What do I enter if I was a dependent on last year's return?
What do I do if I keep getting rejected after fixing my prior year AGI or PIN?
