What do I do if I keep getting rejected after fixing my prior year AGI or PIN?

If you can't get the IRS to accept a return with any prior year adjusted gross income (AGI) or PIN you've entered, you can always mail your return here: Menu Path: Final Steps > Step 3 - Submit Tax Return > Filing Method.

You can also try entering "0" (zero) as your prior year adjusted gross income (AGI).

There's also one additional option that may allow you to still e-file. You can request an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) and you can use that to verify your identity instead of your prior year AGI or e-file PIN. If you choose this option, you'll use a new IP PIN every year to file your taxes unless you later opt out of the program. You can enter an IP PIN here: Menu Path: Misc > Personal > Identity Protection PIN.
