Rhode Island made a few changes for tax year 2025.
Regular inflationary adjustments were made to standard deduction, exemption, income tax bracket, and other regularly updated amounts. A new form, Schedule HR1, was created to addback federal provisions. This uncommon form typically raises the Rhode Island Modified AGI. Rhode Island extensions can now be filed separately from Federal Extensions, with or without payment.
