Maryland tax details

The Maryland Revenue Administration Division made several changes for the 2025 tax year.

Maryland made the following changes:

  • There's an additional tax on capital gains for those with federal AGI over $350,000.
  • There are two new subtractions relating to Energy Relief Refund and Domestic Research and Experimental Expenditures.
  • There's a new voluntary donation available for veterans.
  • Two new tax brackets for those on the upper end for income levels are now being used.
