How do I know if I got my health insurance through the Marketplace?

If you're insured and you don't have private health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid, you may have gotten your insurance through the Marketplace. If your health insurance coverage is through the Marketplace, you should have received Form 1095-A.

Marketplace insurance is purchased through:

• healthcare.gov or
• a similar state marketplace

If you have private health insurance through your employer, Medicare, or Medicaid, or you purchased private health insurance directly from a health insurance company, these are not considered Marketplace insurance and you won't receive Form 1095-A.
