Washington continues to offer the Washington Working Families Tax Credit. This tax credit is similar to the federal Earned Income Tax Credit. Individuals and families who can claim the federal Earned Income Tax Credit and who lived in Washington for at least half of the year can claim this fully refundable tax credit.
Taxpayers who would have qualified for the federal Earned Income Credit, except that they had an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) or are Married Filing Separately, also qualify for Washington's credit.
