Vermont 2018 Tax Updates

Vermont didn't have many changes to its tax laws this year. The most notable change is the new subtraction for taxable refunds of state and local income taxes. Another big change is that the Economic Advancement Tax Incentive Carry Forward Credits have expired and are no longer available.

You'll still be able to claim the Vermont Earned Income Tax Credit, and many other business credits such as the Vermont Higher Education Investment Credit and the Charitable Housing Credit.
