Ohio 2018 Tax Updates

The Ohio Department of Taxation beginning in 2018 is allowing income earned by an out-of-state company or employee for disaster recovery work done in Ohio to be exempt from state taxes. They've also added a new worksheet for the unreimbursed healthcare expenses deduction. Also, the amount you can contribute to Ohio's 529 plan each year has increased to $4,000 per beneficiary.

Also beginning in 2018 our software will support the Ohio Lump Sum Retirement Credit and Ohio Lump Sum Distribution Credit worksheets. Taxpayers who are claiming these credits will have the credit calculated for them.
