Maryland 2018 Tax Updates

The Maryland Revenue Administration Division made a few changes that will affect this 2017 tax year.

New subtractions have been added for Olympic medals and prize money, state contributions for college investment plans, mortgage forgiveness, and emergency services retirement income. Maryland also added an addition related to mortgage forgiveness.

One new refundable credit has also been added this year for people who have at least $20,000 in undergraduate student loan debt.
