Kansas 2018 Tax Updates

The Kansas Department of Revenue made a few changes for the 2017 tax year. The most notable is the replacement of the two-bracket personal income tax rate structure with a new three-bracket structure. Taxpayers are also no longer required to add back certain business losses and subtract certain business profits.

The 2017 tax year changes include the addition of the Low Income Student Scholarship Credit. This nonrefundable tax credit is available for contributions to a qualified Scholarship Granting Organization.
