Quick and easy, and most importantly cheap
Almost as easy to use as TurboTax (doesn't autofill some of the numbers) but much cheaper. Like $80 for federal and $40 for state at TurboTax but just 0 for federal and $15 for state with FreeTaxUSA.

Tax filling
Free tax is inexpensive and easy to use, Turbo Tax is harder to use. This is my second year using Free Tax and it remembered all of our retirement 1099s so no more with long addresses and full legal names.

So great for a free app
Easy to use. Takes you thru all the steps. Yes they try to upsell you and maybe you need that. But for your kids simple return it is perfect
