Questions & Answers

Are there stipulations on entering income from the West Virginia Teachers or Public Employees Retirement Systems?

You are limited to $2,000 for both West Virginia Teachers and Public Employees Retirement Systems combined. Regardless of age, enter the taxable amount of retirement income (not to exceed a total of $2,000) reported on your federal return received from The West Virginia Teachers' Retirement System and/or the West Virginia Public Employees' Retirement System. If you have more than $2,000 of taxable retirement income, enter $2,000.

You should be able to find this information on your 1099-R.
