Questions & Answers

How do I obtain a North Dakota property tax clearance record?

North Dakota requires a property tax clearance from your county in order to claim certain credits or subtractions. You are required to get a property tax clearance from your county when you hold an ownership interest of 50% or more in real property in that county. A tax clearance is proof for the North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner that all your local property taxes are paid.

If you are required to attach a property tax clearance record, obtain one by completing the Property Tax Clearance Record.
