What National Guard or Reserve pay can be subtracted from income?

Full-time National Guard or Reserve forces pay can be subtracted, in addition to other National Guard or Reserve compensation such as:
  • Inactive duty training (monthly or special drills or meetings)
  • Active duty training (summer camps, special schools, or cruises)
  • State active duty (emergency duty)
You may subtract up to $15,000 per person.
