Questions & Answers

What is the maximum amount I can deduct from my contributions to my Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP)?

You may deduct the total of all contributions less qualified withdrawals and rollovers made during 2020 by the taxpayer to accounts established through the MESP (includes Michigan 529 Advisor Plan (MAP)). The deduction can't be more than $5,000 (or $10,000 if you're filing as Married Filing Jointly) per tax year.
