Questions & Answers

Do I qualify for the Armed Forces Member Credit if I was a member of the Reserves or National Guard and I excluded my military pay?

You may not claim the Armed Forces Member Credit if you were on active duty as a member of the Reserves or National Guard and you excluded certain military pay from your income. If your military pay was included on your W-2 and meets other criteria you may be able to subtract it from your income. Visit the Wisconsin Subtractions Selection screen and check the box by "Reserve or National Guard Members" for more information about this subtraction.
