Questions & Answers

What is the Retirement Tax Credit?

You, and/or your spouse if filing jointly, could receive a retirement credit of up to $450 per person born on or before December 31, 1952. The credit is limited by the total of your modified adjusted gross income, nontaxable interest income, and any Utah additions to income.

You cannot claim the Retirement Tax Credit if you claim the new Military Retirement Credit or the new Social Security Benefits Credit. Our software will calculate the tax credits that will provide you with the best tax benefit and report your retirement related tax credits on Form TC-40A.
