Questions & Answers

Am I considered a part-year resident of the District of Columbia?

You are a part-year DC resident if DC was your home or permanent residence for only part of 2021. Meaning you moved into or out of DC with the intent to remain at the new residence.

A temporary absence (even a lengthy one) from your permanent home in DC does not make you a part-year resident.
