What is a nonchartered, nonpublic school?

This is a private school serving any of grades K-12 that, because of truly held religious beliefs, chooses not to be chartered by the State Board of Education.

Your federal adjusted gross income can't be more than $100,000 in order to qualify for a credit for tuition paid for a dependent attending one of these schools.
