The New Jersey Division of Taxation will now provide Form 1099-G information online at the division's website.
The division is no longer mailing Form 1099-G, Certain Government Payments, to report the amount of a New Jersey income tax refund a taxpayer received.
In the past, this form was only mailed to taxpayers who received a New Jersey income tax refund AND who were identified as having itemized deductions on their federal income tax return. Similarly, Form 1099-G refund information for New Jersey income tax refunds issued during 2018 will only be available for taxpayers identified by the IRS as having itemized deductions on their 2017 federal return. You can access Form 1099-G refund information here.
You'll need to enter your Social Security number and date of birth to view and print the Form 1099-G statement.
