How do I know which years I have filed tax returns?
Menu Path: Account > Prior Returns
To see any prior year returns that have been finalized in your account, please go to the Prior Returns link under the Account menu in the top-right corner of the screen. If you finished preparing a return for a particular year in our software, you'll see a button for that year. Click on the button to view or download your returns.
To check whether you e-filed a return, you can view the acceptance message for that return by logging into your account for that year and viewing the View Return Status and Print Your Copy screen located in the Final Steps menu.
If you printed and mailed a return, there isn't a way to confirm its acceptance status in your FreeTaxUSA account, but you can check on the IRS Where's My Refund? page for updates on your federal return.
