How do I link my 1099-NEC to a business (Schedule C)?
Menu Path: Income > Business / Rental Income > Business Income (Schedule C)
Depending on the type of income it's reporting, a 1099-NEC may need to be linked to a business (Schedule C), farm (Schedule F), or farm rental (Form 4835).
You can link your 1099-NEC to a business (Schedule C) on the Link 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC screen of your Schedule C.
On that screen you'll see a list of unlinked 1099-NECs. Check the box to link the 1099-NEC to the business.
If you need to enter a 1099-NEC for your business, answer Yes to the question on the Link 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC screen that asks if you received a 1099-NEC for your business.
