Who is in my tax family?

For purposes of the Premium Tax Credit, your tax family consists of the following:

• You, if you can't be claimed as a dependent on someone else's 2025 tax return.
• Your spouse if filing jointly and they can't be claimed as a dependent on someone else's 2025 return.
• Your dependents whom you claim on your 2025 return.
