What if I didn't receive a Form 1099-G?

Not all states or localities send out paper Form 1099-G forms, so you might not receive one or it may only be available electronically.

If you don't have access to your Form 1099-G, you can get your state or local refund information in one of the following ways:

• Contact your state or local tax agency
• Look at the state or local refund amount on your prior year tax return(s)
• Check your bank statement if you had your state or local refund direct deposited in 2025
