What is a Montana 529 or 529A account?
You can choose to contribute a portion of your refund to a 529 Family Education Savings account or a 529A Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) account.
If you choose to make a deposit to one or both of these accounts from your tax refund, you must make a minimum deposit of $25. If the amount you elect to deposit exceeds your available refund for any reason, the deposit will be cancelled and any remaining funds will be refunded to you.
