What is Form 1040-SR?
Menu Path: Misc > Personal > Larger Font Return (Form 1040-SR)
Form 1040-SR can be used in place of the Form 1040 for taxpayers that are at least 65 years old. The main difference is the font size is larger. There is no difference in how the tax is calculated.
If you're 65 years old or older, we'll automatically file your return with Form 1040-SR. If you'd like to file with Form 1040, you can make that change on the Larger Font Return (Form 1040-SR) screen in the Misc section.
