When can I exclude employee business expenses from my NJ wages?

You can exclude reimbursements for employee business expenses included as wages on your Form W-2(s) if all the following apply:

  1. The reimbursements are for job-related expenses.
  2. You're required to and do account for these expenses to your employer.
  3. You're reimbursed by your employer in the exact amount of the allowable expenses.
