What is the testing period for HSA contributions?
For regular contributions made based on the last-month rule, the testing period is from December 1 of the year they were made through December 31 of the next year.
For example, for contributions made in 2024, the testing period goes from December 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025.
Note: If the only reason you didn't remain an eligible individual during the testing period was because of death or becoming disabled, then you are still considered an eligible individual.
