What if my school won't provide a 1098-T?
Most of the time if a school is required to provide a Form 1098-T, they will do so. However, sometimes they might not send one or refuse to send one.
After January 31, 2026, but before you file your 2025 tax return, contact the school and ask them to provide a Form 1098-T. Make sure you fully cooperate with the school's efforts to gather the information they need from you to provide a Form 1098-T.
