How to find your Prior Year AGI

If you filed with FreeTaxUSA in 2024

1. Sign in to your 2025 account and go to the Prior Returns link under the Account menu in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. Click View next to 2024 and download or view your 2024 federal tax return.
3. Your prior year AGI is on Form 1040, Line 11 of your 2024 federal tax return.

If you completed a 2024 return on FreeTaxUSA but don't see a prior year tax return listed on your 2025 account, you may have created a separate account. If your return is not listed there, you may have filed with a different account username. Use the Forgot username or password?  tool to see a list of possible usernames linked to your email address or phone number.

If you didn't file with FreeTaxUSA
In this case, to get your prior year AGI, you'll need to look up a copy of your prior year return or contact the IRS to find out your prior year AGI.

If you don't remember your prior year AGI, you can request a transcript of last year's tax return from the IRS. The IRS online transcript tool generally allows you to download your transcript immediately. You can also call 800-908-9946 to request a transcript to be sent to you via mail.
