What is half-time enrollment?
Half-time enrollment is when a student carried at least one-half the normal full-time workload for his or her course of study. Each school determines how much that workload is.
The student only needs to be enrolled at least half-time for one academic period during 2025 (or the first three months of 2026 for qualified expenses paid in 2025.)
Form 1098-T, Box 8 will also let you know if the student was enrolled at least half-time.
