Why am I being asked for my driver's license information?

Many state revenue agencies are requesting additional information in an effort to combat stolen-identity tax fraud to protect you and your tax refund. If you have a driver's license or state issued identification card, please provide the requested information from it. If you don't have either or you don't want to provide this information, some states require you to mail your state return rather than e-file, or they may take extra time processing your refund.
