Paying federal tax due with a credit card

To pay the amount owed to the IRS by credit card or debit card, choose this option. You may use your American Express, Visa, or MasterCard (Discover cards are no longer supported to pay your federal tax due). The service provider will charge a convenience fee based on the amount you are paying. The convenience fee varies by provider, so contact the service provider for further questions regarding convenience fee charges.
