What does "Remember this device" do?
When you sign into your FreeTaxUSA account from a device we don't recognize, you're required to enter your username, password, and verification code. If you choose to use the "Remember this device" feature, you'll no longer need to enter a verification code when signing in on that device.
If you're using the same device but you've switched to a new browser or changed your browser settings, you may need to enter all three pieces of information when you sign in again. This also expires periodically, so you'll need to enter a verification code again if it's been a while since the last time you signed in.
Note: We suggest that you do NOT choose to remember your device if you're using a public computer, such as a computer at a library.
