What is the Alabama Adoption Tax Credit?
Alabama allows a refundable credit of $2,000 for each private adoption or the adoption of a qualified foster child.
In the case of out-of-state adoption or when the adopted child is not otherwise a resident of Alabama, the refundable credit is $1,000 per child.
