You can use FreeTaxUSA to calculate your payments, refund, or amount owed, even if you don't have all the info to file your return. Here's how:

1. Menu Path: My 2025 Return to go to your regular return. You can come back later to finish your extension.
2. Enter all of your available tax information on your regular return. This estimate relies on the information you provide. Try to include as much detail as possible.
3. You can also enter placeholder forms with estimated amounts for any missing information (missing W-2s, etc). Just remember to update them with the real information when you file your return.
4. The FreeTaxUSA software will calculate your total payments, expected refund, or expected amount owed.
5. Use the bookmark to return to this screen and enter those amounts onto your extension.
