Am I a full-year resident of Illinois?

You're a full-year resident of Illinois if your permanent home was in Illinois for all of 2025. A temporary absence from Illinois doesn't make you a part-year resident.

Temporary absences may include duty in the Armed Forces, visiting a foreign country, going to school outside of Illinois, or having a summer or winter residence outside of Illinois.
