Who is a full-year resident of Minnesota?

You are a full-year resident of Minnesota if:

• Minnesota is your permanent residence;
or
• You spent at least 183 days in Minnesota and owned, rented or occupied an abode in Minnesota for the whole year.

You are still considered a resident if you temporarily moved outside of Minnesota, but have no intention of remaining permanently in another state or country.
