What types of income aren't taxed if my nonmilitary spouse is in this state only because of my military orders?

The following types of income for a military member's spouse are NOT taxed by a state you're in because of military orders:
  • Wages
  • Any income from services performed in that state (for example, doctors, lawyers, painters, hair stylists)
  • Self-employment income (if the spouse is engaged in a personal service business that doesn't make, buy, or sell goods to produce income, like those listed above)
