What are qualifying expenses for the Child and Dependent Care Credit?

Qualifying expenses include amounts paid for household services and care of the qualifying child while you worked or looked for work. Child support payments are not qualifying expenses. Also, expenses reimbursed by a state social service agency are not qualifying expenses unless you included the reimbursement in your income.
