Georgia Extension

There are two ways to receive a 6-month extension to file your Georgia income tax return:

1. File a federal extension
2. File Georgia Form IT-303

An extension to file does not extend the date for paying the tax. Tax must be paid with Georgia Form IT-560 by the regular tax due date to avoid late payment penalties and interest.
