Where do I enter the Date of Death
Taxpayer Date of Death: Menu Path: Personal > Taxpayer Information
Spouse Date of Death: Menu Path: Personal > Spouse Information
Form 1310 information: Menu Path: Misc > Personal > Deceased Taxpayer or Spouse (Form 1310)
If you are doing a decedent tax return, enter the date of death on the Taxpayer Information screen or Spouse Information screen. Answer Yes to the question that asks if the person passed away before the filing of the tax return.
