Deceased Taxpayer
You can enter the date of death of a deceased taxpayer:
Menu Path: Personal > Taxpayer Information
- or -
Menu Path: Personal > Spouse Information
Form 1310 Information Menu Path: Misc > Personal > Deceased Taxpayer or Spouse (Form 1310)
The date of death information will print on Form 1040. Form 1310 is only needed if the decedent's tax return has a refund and you aren't a surviving spouse or court-appointed executor.
