Union dues and dues paid to professional organizations, trade organizations, or public services organizations (such as Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, etc.) are deductible as job-related expenses. Dues paid to country clubs, golf and athletic clubs, and any club where the principal purpose of the club is entertainment are not deductible even if your primary purpose is business related.
