What if I'm not ready to e-file yet?
You can wait to e-file your return until you're ready. All of the information you've entered will be saved, and you can sign back in to your account later to finish filing your tax return(s).
You're the only one who can e-file your tax return. The tax return is only e-filed when you reach the Submit Return for Processing screen at the very end of the Final Steps menu and click on the Send Tax Return button. If you never click Send Tax Return on the Submit Return for Processing screen, your tax return will not be sent to the IRS.
