Retirement Income (Form 1099-R)

Menu Path: Income > Common Income > Retirement Income (1099-R)

Enter on the Retirement Income (Form 1099-R) screen.

Retirement income, such as 401(k) and IRA distributions, is reported on a Form 1099-R. If you haven't received your 1099-R, you need to wait until you receive your 1099-R before you e-file. The IRS requires plan administrators to put your Form 1099-R in the mail by January 31st. If you lost your Form 1099-R, ask the plan administrator for a new one.

If you have a Form CSA-1099-R or Form CSF-1099-R, enter it just like a normal 1099-R. We'll ask which type of 1099-R you're entering on the Type of 1099-R screen.
