What do I enter in Box 2a on the Form 1099-R screen?

Usually, you simply enter what is on your paper Form 1099-R, Box 2a, but if Box 2a is blank or unknown, you may need to figure out what to enter. Click on the type of account you have below for details on what to enter in Box 2a :

What kind of distribution do you have?
I have an IRA distribution (IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, and SIMPLE IRA)
I have a pension or annuity distribution (401(k), 403(b), 457(b))
I have a clergy housing allowance
