How do I only e-file my state return?

If you don't e-file the federal return with us, you'll only be able to mail the state return. To only file your state return you'll need to fill out the federal portion of your taxes. Much of the information on the federal return is used to calculate your state return. You'll also need to go through the state screens to make sure that the state return is complete. When you come to the Filing Method screen, choose to mail your federal return.
