How do I file my 2024 tax return?

To file your 2024 tax return, go to the FreeTaxUSA Prior Year Tax Return page. From there, you can choose to file your 2024 tax return. You can also file older tax returns all the way back to 2018.

Please note that most prior year returns cannot be e-filed. For 2018 through 2022, the IRS and states do not allow e-file, so the only way to submit those returns is to print and mail them. If you need to file a prior year return for 2018 through 2022, please print out your return after you have completed it, and follow the directions located on the View Return Status and Print Your Copy screen to mail your return.

For 2023 and 2024 returns, you have the option to e-file if you have an Identity Protection PIN.
