CP 518 Notice
What is the CP 518 notice?
This is a final request to file a tax return. IRS records show that you didn't file a tax return for the year listed on the notice. You should file the return as soon as possible. Otherwise, they'll prepare the return for you and assume that you only had income and no deductions.
If you filed a return, but they didn't record the return in their system, just sign in to your account and print a copy of your return by going to the Prior Returns link under the Account menu in the top-right corner of the screen or make a photocopy of the return and mail it to the IRS.
